Carolyn Xu - Fish Bones
From the Artist:
This piece is about my childhood memory of eating whole fish. The story goes through the experience of getting a fish bone stuck in my throat. I remember my parents telling me to swallow some rice or drink Chinese vinegar to help push it down. It had happened multiple times and I became very fearful of eating the whole fish that was commonly present at Chinese dinners. It will be told through a comic that flows through the emotions of before and after the event.
