Chan Lin - Dumpling Rattle

This is a memory of working at my parents' Chinese restaurant in rural Florida. So many of my memories revolved around food: prepping ingredients: eating food, selling food, not eating enough, overeating. I started folding dumplings out of clay as a meditation on the repetitiveness of my childhood experiences and re-imagining them with more joy and delight.
